Artistorm.com is an online art gallery aimed at helping small time artists sell their art online. The site features a unique image viewer that I developed using Macromedia (now Adobe) Flash. The Image Viewer allows for a user to view a thumbnail of the image then zoom into a large high res version of the image. Using this viewer, Artistorm was able to display an image that would normally be to large for the design of the site and to fit in a normal window. A tool developed by Artistorm allows artists to create "areas of intrest" that will show highlights on the image and provide a small note about the particular area. The information is saved into an xml file which is simply just loaded back into the flash viewer. Currently, Artistorm has entered into the Burton D. Morgan Entrepreneurial Competition and is hoping to win the contest to help build the buisness.
